Mike Mahon Memorial Rugby Scholarship Application The Mike Mahon Memorial Rugby Scholarship was founded in 1998 to provide assistance for student rugby players and to help provide quality athletes to the Sam Houston Rugby Football Club. It is dedicated to the memory of an original team member Mike Mahon. Mike was a superb club member and an ardent supporter as an alumnus. His love for Sam Rugby will forever live on through this scholarship and the recipient it helps to educate. rugby experience. To be considered for The Mike Mahon Memorial Scholarship, submit the following: 1) Completed
application. Former or current
coach. 4) Completed
physical from a certified doctor. Download Scholarship Application Process Selection: All application material must be received by the scholarship committee no later than July 1st. The scholarship committee will review all applications and will choose three finalists for phone interviews. From these phone interviews, one finalist will be chosen to receive the Mike Mahon Memorial Scholarship. Each of the three finalists will be contacted no later than August 15th to be informed of the committee’s decision. The remaining two finalists will be ranked as alternates should the award recipient not accept. Send all scholarship application materials to:
